Sefton & Genovese Wedding—May 2024

I had the pleasure of creating this vibrant, maximalist tablescape for the wonderful Tash Sefton and Adam Genovese. Tash, a stylist from Sydney, asked for a design that was overflowing with fruits and rich, bold colours. It was such a delight to collaborate with her on bringing this dream to life – a stunning celebration of abundance and style.

Holy Goat Long Lunch—May 2024
Photos Bronte Plesance

This work was a reflection on the landscape of the Dja Dja Wurrung and Leanganook, which is in a constant state of regeneration in response to the environmental impacts of gold mining and the introduction of ruminant sheep grazing in the mid-late 1800s.

The land today presents a harsh yet beautiful, undulating mix of native trees and flowers, intertwined with introduced species like gorse, blackberry, rose hip, peppercorn, poplar, plum, hawthorn, ivy, pampas grass – the list goes on.

Every stem used in this installation was responsibly foraged from the banks of Forest Creek and Harcourt Organic Farming Co-Op. Additional materials were sourced from local producers: black wattle from Cassinia Environmental, poa grass from Murnong Mummas, and handpicked kangaroo grass from Holy Goat Cheese.

This installation is a tribute to the resilience of the land and the ongoing work of regeneration.
